Pliers for clear aligners
Treatment with clear aligners is an important part of modern orthodontics, that has shown increasing interest in this type of devices. Being transparent these aligners are virtually invisible, hence extremely popular for aesthetic reasons. Unlikely traditional braces aligners are removable, thus easy to clean and allow proper oral hygiene. These mechanic and functional features make this procedure well-accepted by patients who are then keener on its maintenance. On the other hand, they are not suited for all cases where the patient has very significant bone mispositioning and in the presence of bone malocclusions. These pliers are used to restore the position of teeth that have fallen behind in treatment. This is accomplished by creating small depressions, or dimples, or indents in the aligner, which increase pressure on a tooth to initiate movement or increase retention.
